  • Description

This HAT has sixteen 0-10V analogue outputs generated using 14-bit PWM timers. Even though discrete components limit the factory to 1%, you can get the precision up to 0.1% through calibration. Command-line functions are available for analogue field calibration.

You can use a 24VAC transformer to power the board or any DC power supply from 10V to 24V. It provides 5V and up to 3A to a Raspberry Pi and any other HATs you want to use. It communicates primarily via the I2C port for the Raspberry Pi, from Zero to 5. An RS485 communication port is also available, which can be managed either by the Raspberry Pi or a local processor. If controlled by the local processor, jumpers can disconnect the RS485 lines from the Raspberry Pi, freeing up GPIO pins (The RS485 uses pins 8 and 10 of the GPIO connector)

If the RS485 is used with the local processor, it can function independently without a Raspberry Pi with standard MODBUS commands and all I/O's can be accessed. Each output channel has a programmable status LED, and a hardware watchdog is included to monitor the Raspberry Pi's status, performing a hardware reset if it fails due to software lockup.

You can also integrate this HAT with Home Assistant! Click here to find out how.
