Description
This adapter enables the use of 2230/2242 size NVMe M.2 SSDs with the Raspberry Pi 5, boosting storage speed and capacity, making it ideal for projects that require quick data transfer.
It's compatible specifically with the Raspberry Pi 5, supporting both Gen2 and Gen3 modes and allowing for direct booting from the SSD. It comes with features such as dual LED indicators for status monitoring and a cooling fan vent to manage heat for both the Raspberry Pi and the SSD.
Note: Raspberry Pi 5 and NVME drive are not included.
NVME Compatability
Some customers have reported compatibility issues with certain brands/models of NVME drives with some Raspberry Pi 5 NME products. No 'official' compatibility list is maintained by Waveshare (yet).
For now, we suggest following the same compatibility list on the Pimoroni NVME Base page as a starting point until something official is shared from Waveshare.
