Description
This Breakout Card Kit for Raspberry Pi is a pluggable prototype breadboard designed for both surface mount (SM) and through-hole (TH) projects. The kit includes a main card that connects all Raspberry Pi GPIO pins to robust pluggable terminal blocks. The GPIO pins are initially linked to a 2 x 20-hole array, then rerouted to three 2 x 12-pin headers for easy external or add-on card connections. Each GPIO pin is clearly labelled for easier identification. The main board also features a 12 x 22 hole array for through-hole projects, with a top VCC bus bar and a bottom ground bus, both configurable via a 3-pin jumper.
The kit also comes with two add-on cards for advanced projects.
- The first add-on card caters to various surface mount ICs with pitches of 0.635mm, 0.5mm, and 1.27mm, along with slots for SOT23-5 and SOT23-3 footprints. Its design mirrors the main board, including a selectable VCC bus and an expansive 2.54mm pitch-hole grid.
- The second add-on card is tailored for 0.65mm pitch circuits and features breakout areas for LQFP32 and LQFP48 microprocessor footprints. Each add-on card connects easily to the main board using three 2 x 12 female headers, providing easy integration for diverse electronic projects.
