The Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 is a hidden Z-Wave door sensor that you can install directly in your door frame.

This sensor can be used within your Z-Wave-enabled home automation system to communicate when a door is opened or closed, allowing you to use this as a trigger for your smart automation scenes and routines.

Installing the Aeotec Recessed Door Sensor 7 to your smart home is easy. Pairing it with an automation system takes no more than activating the included XXX Alkaline battery and scanning the QR code. Making the door sensor invisible means little more than a drill hole hidden away on the door frame.

The sensor features Z-Wave Plus V2, S2 wireless security, SmartStart installation and is compatible with Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus gateways.

Get up to 2 years battery life along with easy battery changing - lift the sensor out its door frame, swap the battery, and slot it back into the door.

You will need a Z-Wave hub/existing Z-Wave network to use this device.
